SHIO YAKISOBA, JAPANESE NOODLE RECIPE

Updated: May 29, 2023

WHAT IS YAKISOBA?

Yakisoba is a type of stir-fried egg noodle. Japanese yakisoba is best known for being seasoned with a sauce that resembles Worcestershire sauce. Shio Yakisoba is another well-liked variety. Shio is the Japanese word for salt, and Shio Yakisoba naturally contains salt in addition to other seasonings. However, the name "Shio Yakisoba" is used to distinguish it from "shioyou" or soy sauce Yakisoba. Shio Yakisoba has a simpler flavor than other varieties, but it is still quite tasty and may be more likely to become a favorite.
